Researchers in London have shown that how many hours of exercise per week for two months can you lose weight. Whether it’s from a rich diet (usually after the end of the year), the beginning of pregnancy or a sedentary lifestyle… the extra pounds pile up and you’re surprised to learn how to shed them.

Studies Show When to Exercise

The meta-analysis included 116 clinical studies. The study was conducted by researchers at Imperial College London. The aim of this project was to determine what type of exercise routine per week over a two-month period would work best for achieving weight loss. That works out to 30 minutes a day, five days a week, which is in line with recommendations. “We need at least 150 minutes of aerobic exercise a week to lose weight,” says Dr Ahmed Jayedi, lead author of the study and an epidemiologist at Imperial College London.

Long-term habits, this change

So the meta-analysis recruited nearly 7,000 overweight or obese adults. The researchers estimated they could lose three kilos and lose half an inch around their waists in eight weeks. Staying longer. Dr Jayedi reminds us that there are easy ways to increase our physical activity each week. Motivating people can be a real challenge, especially when it comes to changing their lifestyle and getting their bodies in shape. One limitation of the study is that people may eat unprepared food. The researchers noted: “Not all of the included studies included dietary guidelines that people could follow when participating in new exercise programs.” However, they noted that the diet could make up to 80 percent of a person’s body weight. It should include whole grains, fruits, and vegetables (and very little red meat, soda, and processed foods, for example). This diet will reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Examples include type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and some types of cancer.
