Alto Knights Trailer: Vito Genovese and Frank Costello’s Feud at the Heart of the Film
The filmmakers recently revealed the first trailer for The Alto Knights. It stars De Niro as two characters, Italian-American mafia bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello. A power struggle ensues when Genovese orders an assassination attempt on Costello.
The latter survives the assassination attempt, but decides to hang up his boots. The trailer, which runs for 2 minutes and 26 seconds, covers much of the same, establishing the tense dynamic between the two. Aided by passages from Moby’s song Natural Blues, the Alto Knights trailer certainly sets the tone. hype ahead of its release. The only criticism that could be made is De Niro’s similar attire, which makes it very difficult for us to distinguish between his two roles. However, with Oscar-winning director Barry Levinson at the helm, we can expect nothing less than a masterpiece.
