When I first noticed the dark circles under my eyes, I was sure they were from the night before. When I took a cotton pad and wiped it away, it remained dark. “What happened?” I thought. Why can’t I get this makeup off?
Before having kids, I had no dark circles under my eyes and even though I stayed up all night eating, I still felt rested {which would make me say, but I’ve always been so good. sleep well, I sleep during the day when the baby sleeps, I guess I’m too sleepy! It never occurred to me that the circles were from Henning, which seems like a lie now, but maybe I was still curious and didn’t think about it. Who knows. All I know now is that these little circles actually belong to my sweet baby and there’s no chance they’re going away anytime soon. She deserves everything I can give her, so I’m not afraid to find a solution. Come on in: guys. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m not very good with makeup. I don’t know much about it and I don’t really care. So I did a survey and asked you what your favorite secret is, which one you can’t live without, and which one is the best. What do you think? Over 85% of people recommend this product from Cle De Peau.
I’m not happy with this deal since it costs $70 at a time. But if you do a quick Google search, you’ll see that you’ve found something. I know I’m not the only woman looking for a way to look better in the dark, but I also know that spending $70 on a 5-gram tube of concealer is crazy. Or so I think.
Let’s start with a picture. My photographer actually took a picture of me first and it turned out really well {God bless him – it’s his job to make me look good after all}, but I want to show you the Real, Unedited version of Black Eye. Here they are:-/
Okay, so now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get to the solution. I ordered the concealer and this little brush ASAP. I’m glad I found out what all the hype was about. I tried a few popular concealers before voting for you and didn’t see any results, so I was desperate to find a solution that would work for me.
Can I just say I really like this? None of you are laughing. It’s really good. I wasn’t sure at first because it was a little creamy. I used it as a liquid concealer. It’s easy to eat. No, it’s not. You know what? Maybe that’s why it’s actually possible? It makes my skin look just like my skin, only better. It didn’t eat cake and it didn’t look too fat. It honestly gave me really good looking results that are worth sharing on Instagram. Almost good…almost.
The stick is a bit thicker than I’m used to, but it’s still very easy to apply. I’m still trying to find my favorite method, but right now I apply the cream under my eyes and blend it out with a brush, then apply with a damp beauty blender. It has a nice, almost airbrushed look and doesn’t get caught in my fine lines.
I also chose a shade that was as close to my skin tone as possible. I’m not trying to “boost” or “brighten” here, just hide. Cle De Peau comes in six shades, and I chose the beige one.
Okay, that’s it! I’ve been using this great little product for two weeks now, and can I disagree? } says it’s worth the money. I don’t feel like I’ve been eating out all night (or let’s face it – I nurse every night), and if I have to pay a little extra for it, it’s worth it. The only thing I would add is a good concealer to help cover up dark circles better. You can use it before concealer to help “blur” dark circles. I’ve never done this before {like I said, I’m a beginner} but I’ve heard that if you really have dark circles, it’s important to do this before applying the eye mask below {raises hand}.
I’m a new Cle De Peau customer but I’m excited to try more of their products after this giveaway. If you want to learn more, head over to Nordstrom where they have so many great products. With free shipping + returns and an amazing return policy, I’ll never buy makeup anywhere else!
If you have a case of Truffle Clarity, then you probably understand the struggle. Wiping with Clorox wipes will do the trick. But I must warn you, it will take a little more effort {i.e. you will have to scrub a little harder}, but in a few minutes, your sunscreen will be bright, shiny and best of all – more delicate! I hope this helps! Check out my travel bags below and find out why I love them here and here
